Anne M. (Meloccaro) Swenson

95, of Cranston, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Valentino and Rose (Otti) Meloccaro. She was a bookkeeper for many years before retiring. Anne’s life was rich with joys and interests that reflected her spirit. She had a love for traveling, often seeking new experiences and adventures to fill her days. Among her favorite activities were bowling and golfing, where she enjoyed the company of friends and family alike. She also enjoyed taking day trips to the casino.

Anne was also known for her culinary skills. Baking and cooking were passions that allowed her to bring joy and warmth to gatherings, always sharing delicious meals with those she cherished. Sundays were reserved for football, where she felt a special connection to the game, and she never missed an opportunity to attend her grandchildren’s sports events, proudly cheering them on from the sidelines.

Anne is survived by her loving children, Nancy Salvatore and her husband Donald of Cranston, Philip Swenson and his significant other Martha of North Kingstown, Cheryl Mancuso and her husband Carl of Cranston, and Brenda Swenson of Cranston. She was the cherished grandmother of eight and adored great-grandmother of nine. She was the sister of the late John Corelli, Theresa Murgo, Eva D’Andrea, and Natalie Williams. 

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, September 12th, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church, Cranston. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
