61, of Cranston passed away peacefully after a brief illness Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. Anna Maria was the beloved wife of the love of her life, the late Emil K. Ruhle, to whom she was married for 28 years. A lifelong resident of Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Louis P. and America C. (Parenti) Saccoccio. She was the cherished sister of the late Michael J. Saccoccio and Anthony F. Saccoccio. During her lifetime she was involved in many groups and organizations, including traveling through Europe as a singer with the Rays of Sunshine in her youth. She was a Bookkeeper for over 30 years before retiring in 2014. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed engaging in long discussions on history and politics. She loved football and she was a New England Patriots fan. She loved to travel, boating, cooking, laughing & loving wholeheartedly. Quick with a smile, with an unmatched combination of strength & tenderness, her unwavering sense of compassion and playful beautiful spirit touched all who met her. She was happiest when spending time with her family and she will be profoundly missed. Anna Maria is survived by her dear brother, Louis J. Saccoccio, and his wife, Marie, of Narragansett. She was the beloved stepmother to Kenneth Ruhle and his wife, Missy, of Warwick, 2 step-granddaughters and 1 step-great-granddaughter. Anna Maria is also survived by 2 loving nieces, 1 nephew and many wonderful cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to one of her favorite charities, Wounded Warrior Project www.woundedwarriorproject.org, and St. Jude Children’s Research www.stjude.org. Visitation is respectfully omitted & her funeral services will be private. A celebration of life will be held at a later time when conditions permit.
