It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anna Maria Francesca Silvestri. She was the daughter of Enrico and Anna Felicia (Volpe) Almonte. She was the oldest child of seven children, Henry, Anthony, Joseph, Frances, Dennis, and Maria, all who grew up in Cranston, RI. Anna was a stylish woman, always dressed as a fashion model. Anna enjoyed baking delicious Italian dishes with her mother and siblings. Her father also owned one of the largest dairy plants in RI; as a young woman, Anna worked for him as a bookkeeper. Anna went to Bryant College and graduated in Accounting. She was a very kind and charitable person. She loved gardening, bowling, and spending time at her family’s vacation home in Green Hill. She met the love of her life at the Renaissance Lodge, Anthony Silvestri, and they were happily married for almost 60 years. Anna and Anthony lived in Cranston, RI and they raised two beautiful daughters, Andrea and Beth. Anna was a fabulous mother and housewife, and spent her time caring for her parents, husband, and children. Anna was the loving grandmother of Adam, Daniel, Brendan, and Andrea, as well as her great-grandchildren, Reagan and Ford. She also leaves behind many adoring nieces and nephews, especially Cindy. Anna’s family would also like to thank the wonderful caretakers who assisted in her later years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial Monday March 6, 2023 at 12pm in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Her burial will be private.
