Anna Marraffino Schiappa, 67 of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Mario Schiappa.
Born in Corigliano di Sessa Aurunca, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Bernardino and Maria Assunta (Russo) Marraffino. Besides her husband, Anna is survived by her loving children, David Schiappa and his wife Sheri, and Michael M. Schiappa and his wife Erica, all of Cranston. She was the cherished grandmother of Aria, Andrew, Lily, and Aubrey Schiappa. Anna was the dear sister of Eugenio and Antonio Marraffino, as well as Carmella Cubellotti of Johnston, and the late Gelsomina Aschiolla, Maria Annelina, Liugi and Anna Marraffino of Italy.
Anna worked for the Cranston Public Schools as a cook for many years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and large family gatherings. She always took care of others and made endless sacrifices for her family. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight Street Providence. Limited seating, social distancing and mask required. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS are on Friday from 6-9 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.
