Anna S. (Ruggieri) Oakes

Anna moved on to a heavenly kitchen to prepare a meal for others on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.  She was born on October 17, 1929 to the parents of Salvatore and Silvia (Pezzuca) (o) Ruggieri.  Anna was a single parent raising her three sons, Alfred, (Gail), David, and Joseph, (Susan).  Sundays were often a big family day for her by getting together with all her siblings and their spouses and sharing a pasta dinner with a sauce that was simmered from the early morning.  Anna was always preparing food for others as an expression of love and neighborliness, such as her trays of red, white, and potato pizzas.

She is the last survivor of 7 sisters and 2 brothers, all who looked out for each other.  Their names were Marietta, Virginia, Susie, Chinse, Palmina, Amelia, Louie, and her twin brother, Salvatore. Her family includes 19 nieces and nephews, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She was always so proud of her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
