ANNA H. (HANOIAN) NAJARIAN, 85, of Arland Drive, Pawtucket, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife for 56 years of Askanaz Najarian. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Hagop and Sophie (Toumanian) Hanoian, she resided in Pawtucket since 1951. Mrs. Najarian worked for the State of RI as a principal clerk for 15 years at the Department of Unemployment, and later at the Department of Human Resources, before retiring. She was a member of Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church of Providence where she was a former bookkeeper and past member of the choir. She was a member of The Daughters of Vartan, an auxiliary member of X-POW Chapter 1, a member of NARFE, and a member of AFSCME Council 94. Besides her husband, she was the devoted mother of Cynthia N. Samoorian and her husband Vernon of Warwick, Janice N. Kavjian and her husband Andrew of Reading, MA, Mark A. Najarian of Erving, TX, and the late Malcolm A. Najarian, Esq.; loving mother-in-law to Mary Frances Najarian of Rumford; loving grandmother of Marisa, Michael, Meredith, Amanda, Mary and Gregory; dear sister of Richard Hanoian of North Providence and the late Arthur Hanoian; and dear sister-in-law to Raffie Najarian of Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
