ANNA (REGA) MUCCIO

Anna (Rega) Muccio 84, of Plainfield Street, Johnston, died Sunday, January 11, 2009, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. She was the wife of Giuseppe C. Muccio, to whom she was married for sixty-one years. Born in Valle Agricola, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria Rosa (Riccio) Rega. Mrs. Muccio was a machine operator for the Jewel Case Corporation of Providence for ten years before retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Circolo Giovanni XXIII of Holy Ghost Church. Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Giovanni Muccio and his wife Antonia of Scituate, Filomena Muccio and her husband Antonio of Cranston, Ernesto R. Muccio of Scituate. Anna was the mother of the late Maria Rosa Muccio. She was the grandmother of eight and the great-grandmother of two. Mrs. Muccio was the sister of the late Antonia Iannotta. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. in St. Rocco'sChurch, Atwood Avenue, Johnston.
