Anna E. (Tortis) Mignanelli 99, of Pleasant View Avenue, Smithfield, formerly of Cranston and Narragansett died Saturday, July 14, 2007 at North Bay Manor, Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Pasquale Mignanelli. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Gaetano and Donata (Bonitati) Tortis and the step-daughter of the late Angelina Tortis. Mrs. Mignanelli was a floor lady for the former US Rubber Company of Providence for thirty years before retiring in 1951. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her two daughters Antoinette Battista and her husband Luigi of Johnston and Diane Armstrong and her husband Henry of North Scituate. Mrs. Mignanelli was the grandmother of six and the great-grandmother of twelve. She was the sister of the late Frank and Pasco Tortis, Catherine Malaga and Vera Boscia. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. in Holy Apostle's Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
