ANNA E. (AUCONE) CELANI

80, of Cranston passed away Monday February 18, 2013 at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of 54 years to Dario Celani.

Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Fortunato and Maria (Merola) Aucone.

Besides her husband she was the loving mother of David Celani of Cranston, Lawrence (Erma) Celani of North Kingstown, Paul (Gina) Celani of Cranston, Darin (Michele) Celani of Burrillville and the late Frank Celani; proud grandmother of Lawrence, Andrew, Sophia and Antonio Celani; dearest sister of Marie D'Antuono, Dolores Paesano and Anthony Aucone all of Cranston and the late Emelia Ryan, Augustine and John Aucone.

Anna was a member of the Cranston Democratic Women's Caucus, a communicant of St. Mary's Church and an active volunteer for it's school, and a lifelong member of La Madonna Della Valle Society.

She will be missed for her love and devotion to her family. She made all who entered her home feel welcome with her hospitality and great home cooking.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston at 11am. Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. CALLING HOURS Thursday 4-8pm.
