ANNA (MANGIACAPRA) AMBROSINO, 88, of Mathewson Street, passed away peacefully after a four-month illness at her daughter Vera's home on Saturday, February 2, 2008 surrounded by her loving family.
She was the devoted and beloved wife of the late Augusto Ambrosino for 60 years. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Raffaele "Ralph" and Rose Marie (Cianciarulo) Mangiacapra she was a resident of Cranston for 55 years.
Mrs. Ambrosino devoted her life to her husband and family. She was the loving and dedicated mother of 5, adored grandmother of 10 and beloved great grandmother of 11. Mrs. Ambrosino was a petite soft spoken, caring, compassionate woman of Faith who possessed a strong inner strength and courage. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church. She enjoyed traveling, bingo and watching figure skating but most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with her loving family and friends.
Mrs. Ambrosino is survived by three daughters, Rosemarie Houck and her husband Russ, of New Jersey; Vera Marandola and her husband Dave of Cranston; Anna Ambrosino of Cranston, and a son, Augustus Ambrosino and his wife Gail, of Connecticut. She was the mother of the late Emilio Ambrosino, grandmother of the late Lisa St. Angelo and sister of the late Raphaela "Ella" De Meo, Addea "Ida" Russillo, Lorenzo "Larry" Mangiacapra and Antonetta "Etta" Imondi, Assunta Mangiacapra and Angelina Mangiacapra.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Tuesday 4-8 p.m.
