Ann A. (Almonte) Toro

passed away Monday, May 10th, at home, with her loving family by her side at 85 Years young. Born in Providence on September 4, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Angelo Almonte and the late Santina Villella. Wife of the late John A. Toro, they were married for 25 years. Sister of the late Angelo Almonte, Jr., the late Francis Medeiros, the late Elaine Fagnant. She is survived by brothers Anthony, Peter and William Almonte, daughters Maddalena (and her Husband Robert Cunningham, Sr.), Santina (and her Husband Karl Young), Gina (and her significant other Kirk Varatta), Marisa (and her Husband Tom Casey) and son John (and his Wife Pam Bristol). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. An avid golfer and bowler, Ann never met a leisure game she didn’t like. Member of the Alpine and Valley country clubs, and the American Legion Bowl. Member of Itlo-American Club, the and Woman’s Youth League. She will be greatly missed. Catholic Service will be held at St. George Maronite Catholic Church in Cranston on Thursday at 10 A.M.
