It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ann M. Rowles (Cavaco), who peacefully passed away at her home in Narragansett on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, surrounded by her loving husband of 55 years, Tom Rowles.
Born in West Warwick, Ann was the daughter of the late Manuel F. Cavaco and Lorraine Cavaco..
Ann is survived by her devoted husband Tom, and their three children: Donna M. Beaudoin (Gary) of Coventry, Deborah A. DePardo of West Warwick, and Thomas G. Rowles of Denver, Colorado. She was the proud grandmother of five: Alexis DePardo, Donald DePardo III, Robert Beaudoin (Lindsey), Dr. Katie Beaudoin, and Emily DePardo. She was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first great-granddaughter, Kennedy. She was predeceased by her brother Norman J. Cavaco and is survived by her sister Betty Jean Lavalley.
Ann was known for her love for gathering with family and friends. She found joy in entertaining friends and loved ones, showcasing her exceptional cooking skills, and filling her home with warmth and laughter. Her passion for cooking led her to create a cherished family cookbook filled with her favorite recipes, a gift that will be passed down for generations. Ann also enjoyed knitting and crafted beautiful afghans, baby blankets, and sweaters for her grandchildren, friends and relatives.
A lover of games and social gatherings, Ann enjoyed playing mahjong and canasta. She organized weekly games in both Florida and Rhode Island, creating lasting bonds and memories with her friends. For many years, she also loved golfing with her ladies niners group.
Ann was an avid traveler, exploring many countries around the world with her beloved husband, Tom. She lived life to the fullest and embraced each day with positivity, even in times of illness, always reassuring those around her that she had lived a wonderful life.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory - SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett. Her burial will be private. VISITING HOURS Saturday from 9-11am.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in Ann’s memory be made to Hope-Health Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI. A scholarship fund is also being created in her honor. Contributions to the scholarship can be made to the Coventry Teachers Alliance Scholarship Fund and mailed to 40 Reservoir Rd., Coventry, RI 02816.
Ann’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported them during this time.
