Ann M. Macchiarola-Johnson

77, of Johnston, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 8, 2024 with her beloved husband James D. Johnson, Jr. by her side. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Emma (Trotta) Macchiarola.

Ann was a graduate of St. Xavier’s Academy, and went on to become a computer operator for the State of RI Department of Elderly Affairs for 29 years before retiring. She and Jim were soulmates. They enjoyed cooking together, and making her homemade jelly. Ann made sure that all her family and friends received a jar. Ann cherished her home, and loved when her friends dropped in for coffee; dessert was always served on a beautiful table cloth and the best dinnerware.

Besides her husband James, she is survived by her sister Rosalie and her late brother Carlo. Ann was the dear stepmother of Sharon Parnell and her husband Mike and James Michael Johnson, also survived by many relatives, including Aunts, Uncles, Nephews and Nieces.
