Ann A. (Pitassi) Lopardo

82, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 9, 2022.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Carrara) Pitassi.

Ann is survived by her loving children, Gina Lopardo, and Christopher Lopardo; her beloved partner Louis Parente; dear daughter-in-law Rosa DeVarona; cherished grandchildren Christopher Lopardo and Mason Goncalves; dear brothers Joseph Pitassi II and Angelo A. Pitassi.  She was the former wife of the late Armand Lopardo.

Ann worked for the Providence Schools until her retirement at which time she began working for St. Bart's School. She was an avid bowler with a women's league at Town Hall Lanes in Johnston and a board member of Italian-American Historical Society. Upon her Parkinson's Disease diagnosis, she began an exercise program with Rock Steady Boxing in East Greenwich and was sure to bring her pink boxing gloves to each class. This program provided her and Lou with much community and a positive approach to her physical challenges. Ann also offered support to other women who faced Ovarian cancer diagnoses like herself. She could always be counted on for her strength and positive attitude.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston.  Burial will be private.  VISITING HOURS will be held on Monday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
