Anita (Copponi) Ranucci

79, of Cranston passed away Wednesday May 11, 2022 at Cra-Mar Nursing Home in Cranston surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Michael “Sonny” Ranucci.

Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Mary C. (Marchetti) Copponi. Anita worked for the Providence School Department for the lunch program for over 20 years and she also worked at Ro-Jack’s in Providence for many years.

She was the devoted mother of Michele Bergantino and her husband David of Coventry and Michael Ranucci and his wife Heather of Blackstone, MA.; loving grandmother of Maryssa Bergantino, Samantha Bergantino, Aubrey Ranucci and Makenzie Ranucci. She was the dear sister of Theresa Casalino of North Providence, Jean Ranucci of Johnston, Mary Bianco of Providence, Bernard Copponi of Cranston and the late Frederick Copponi.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday May 18, 2022 at 10 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston  followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church 1525 Cranston St. Cranston at 11 am. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours WEDNESDAY MORNING FROM  9AM TO 10 AM.
