94, formerly of Jamestown, died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Rhode Island Veterans Home, Bristol. Born in Santa Apollinare, Italy, he was a son of the late Gabriel and Marietta (Valenti) Salvatore. Mr. Salvatore was a foreman for the former United Wire and Supply Company of Cranston. He was a WW II veteran serving in the US Army. Mr. Salvatore is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Anna Cardente, Frances Nardolillo, Vera DiLibero, Edith Currier, Eleanor Marsella, Vincent Salvatore, Vincent Marsella, Alfred Salvatore and Romeo Salvatore. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, 60 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown. Inurnment with Military Honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
