"To know him was to love him". 81, of Scituate Avenue, Cranston and DiSano Drive, Narragansett. He passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. He was the beloved husband of 54 years, to Joni (Navaretta) Nardolillo. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Angelo and Mary (Daly) Nardolillo Sr. He was the cherished brother of Pauline Carbone of Cranston and the late Robert A. Nardolillo Sr. Angelo was a very generous and caring person and leaves a great legacy to his immediate nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. Known to all as "Uncle Al", he leaves a large number of extended family and friends .
After graduating from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1950, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1953 from Bryant College. He was a member and Treasurer of the Alpha Theta Chi Fraternity, the Kings Court Alumni Association Society and the Bryant College Alumni Association where in 2003 he received The Loyal Guard award. Upon graduating, he was employed by Providence Union Trust Bank before joining the family business. In 1956 he graduated from the New England Institute of Anatomy and Embalming. He was a dedicated member of the Alpine Country Club for over 50 years, serving on the Board of Directors and Board of Governors of the Alpine Investment Co. He was also a member of the Renaissance Club, life member of the Tri City Elks B.P.O.E. #14, City Hall Athletic Club, and was an Honorary Mayor of Scarborough Beach.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 12 noon in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston. His burial will be private for immediate family. VISITING HOURS Friday 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street Providence, RI 02904.
