ANGELO RICHARD FERDINANDI
Angelo Richard Ferdinandi 78, of East Greenwich, formerly of Cool Spring Dr., Cranston, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at South County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in North Kingstown after a brief illness. He was the husband for 49 years of the late Mary G. (DiZoglio ) Ferdinandi.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Angelo and Rose (Almagno) Ferdinandi. Angelo retired in 1992 and was a businessman and salesman and owner of a distribution company. He enjoyed boating and time on the bay with family and friends. He was active as an athlete playing various Providence and local competitive teams for over 20 years. He is survived by his children, Laurie Magnette of North Kingstown, Jane Treadwell of Dana Point CA and John Ferdinandi of Jamestown; his sister, Etta Amatore of North Providence; his grandchildren, Kara Morissette, Kerri Seibert, Kate, Harry, Daniel, Rachel, Matthew and Jonathan Ferdinandi; and his great-grandchild, Cameron Morissette. He was the brother of the late Josephine Cenerini, Angela Ferdinandi, Anne Boisvert and Vincent Ferdinandi.
His funeral will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Ave., Cranston at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Thursday 4-8 p.m.
