ANGELO COTTIGNOLI
Angelo Cottignoli, 90, of Warman Ave., Cranston passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009 at RI Hospital, in Providence. He was the husband of the late Helen (Lehman) Cottignoli.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Onofrio and Josephine Cottignoli. Mr. Cottignoli was a WW-II Navy Veteran, and a technician and Master Sgt. in the RI Air National Guard.
He is survived by his children, Ruth Scott and her husband, Arnold of Westport, MA., Vicki Gustavson and her husband, Paul of Fairfield, CT., and Tina Benik and her husband, Greg of Providence; grandchildren, Arnold Scott Jr., Sandra Gosser, Keith Gustavson, Kristen and Mark Ferris, Alex Benik and Becky Bermont, and a great-granddaughter, Eva Helen Ferris. He was the brother of the late Jenny Sorafine, Mary Alessandro, Domenic and Albert Cottignoli.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by interment with Military Honors in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting Hours Wednesday 5-8 p.m.
