Angelina (Ronci) Lanzi

101, of Johnston, passed away peacefully January 28, 2022 with her family by her side. Born to the late Valentino Ronci and Maria (Bianchi) Ronci, she was the beloved wife of the late Edward Lanzi. She was blessed with four daughters, the late Marie Colaluca, Angela Barone, Paula Laferte (husband Ernest) and Edyie Rapone (husband Buddy). Her greatest joy was spending time with her 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was the dear sister of the late Viola Cardi, Samual, Guido, and Eva Ronci, Nancy Nardolillo and Polly Bukowski. Her life was centered around faith, family and helping others. She was a tremendous cook, baker, seamstress and business woman. Her legacy includes working alongside of her father at Ronci Bakery of Silverlake and foundress of Lanzi Furs Ltd of Johnston, which she opened in 1963. Her many charitable works, time and talents were shared with numerous churches and organizations throughout New England, Florida, Guatemala and Haiti. She belonged to several prayer cenacles and was a former member of the St. Bart’s Woman’s Guild, Legion of Mary in Hallandale, Florida, St. Anne’s Sodality in Johnston and Providence Chapter of Magnificat. One of her greatest passions was traveling with Fun Seeker’s Group which she continued to do past her 101st birthday. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visiting hours will be on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 3-7pm at NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston. Funeral will be Monday, February 7, 2022 at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Angelina’s memory can be made to Saint Philip School at 618 Putnam Pike in Greenville, RI 02828 so that her love of spreading the faith in children will live on.
