88, of Cranston, passed away on Friday July 26, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Comprone, Sr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Gennaro and Maria (DiSarro) Cardella. Angela worked for a Defense Plant during WW II as well as working for Monet Jewelry for 20 years. Angela's father owned a bakery business in her younger years. She worked with him and then her sister also opened a bakery called Guadagni Bakery where she worked as well. Her son Raymond opened Calvitto's Bakery where she helped work for 10 years, continuing her family's passion for bakeries. She is survived by her loving children, Raymond A. Comprone of Lincoln, William J. Comprone of Cranston, and the late Joseph S. Comprone, Jr.; her 5 cherished grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; her siblings Louise Arena of Smithfield, Annette Turner of Providence, and Henry Cardella of Hope Valley; her dedicated former daughters-in-law Marie Bower (Comprone) and Isabelle Comprone; and her caretaker Lori Waite. She was also the sister of the late Anna Cariglio, Gilda Catalano, Edith Guadagni, Josephine Puleo, and Carmela Zilliox. Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 12:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Interment will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
