ANDREW LA ROCCO

88, of Spooner Ave., Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband for 60 years of Lillian M. (Cerrone) LaRocco. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Crescenzo and Nicolina (Sinapi) LaRocco.

Mr. LaRocco was a superintendent and worked at United Wire Co. for 38 years before retiring. He was a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during WW-II and was proud to serve his country as a U.S. Marine participating in action on Iwo Jima. He was a member of Iwo Jima Survivors Association and enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Alfred LaRocco and Kathleen LaRocco, both of Warwick, Mary A. Birarelli and her husband James of Trumbull, CT and Andrew LaRocco of Orlando, FL; loving grandfather of Linnea, Andria, Mary Elizabeth, Andrew, Alfred and Katie; and dear brother of the late Amalia "Margaret" Tavares.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Monday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 10 a.m.

Interment with military honors will be at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.

VISITING HOURS are Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
