64, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of 37 years to Nancy (Imondi) McGovern. Andrew was born in Providence, a son of the late Andrew A. McGovern and Anna (Lomastro) McGovern. Mr. McGovern was a procurement officer at Recycling for RI Education. He was an Ambassador of the Warwick Chamber of Commerce and a past volunteer for the RI Special Olympics and currently a volunteer with United Cerebral Palsy. His pride and joy was his daughter, Natalie, and he lit up when he saw his cherished grandchildren. His best times were spent with his family, extended family, and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by his loving daughter, Natalie M. Melino and her husband Jason of Cranston, his brother, Robert K. McGovern and his wife Denise of Warwick and he was also the grandfather of 4. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Brigid's Church, Plainfield St., Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 5-8 pm.
