AMERICO G. "RICK" RICCIARDELLI

82, of South Kingstown, formerly of Johnston, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at home. He was the husband of R. Elaine (Garrin) Ricciardelli. They were married for fifty-nine years. Born in Johnston, he was a son of the late Vincenzo and Rosa ( DiCamillo) Ricciardelli. He was the owner and operator of Rick's Truck and Auto Repair of Johnston for thirty-seven years before retiring in 1988. Rick was the president of the former A-1 Auto Parts of Johnston. He restored and collected antique and classic cars. Rick was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Besides his wife he is survived by his sons Vincent R. Ricciardelli and his wife Ann of Pascoag, David J. Ricciardelli and his wife Deborah of Homosassa, FL and Steven A. Ricciardelli of Johnston. He was the cherished grandfather of Donna Stillwell, Jessica Platt and Dawn Bergeron and the great-grandfather of four great-granddaughters and one great-grandson. Rick was the brother of the late Concetta Rosa and John and Mario Ricciardelli. His funeral service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
