AMERICO MATARESE
AMERICO MATARESE, 85, of Harris Ave., Cranston, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband for 50 years of Agnes (Pezzera) Matarese.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Ciro and Caroline (Senese) Matarese, he moved to Johnston in 1960 and resided in Cranston since 1994.
Americo was a meat cutter for the former First National Stores for 43 years, before retiring.
Besides his wife, he was the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews; and was the dear brother of the late Rachael Senerchia, Mary Grace Menella, Mary Menella and Phillip and Vincenzo Matarese.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Saturday at 8:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston at 9:30 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
VISITING HOURS SATURDAY MORNING 8-9 a.m.
