Amelia "Millie" F. (Vitulli) Crook 78, of Ocean View Drive, Narragansett, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at South County Hospital, Wakefield. She was the wife of David J. Crook, Sr. they were married for 56 years. Born in Cranston; she was a daughter of the late John and Natalie (Nardolillo) Vitulli. Millie worked in the Providence School Department for over twenty years, of which eighteen as a Human Services Specialist, and was active in other school activities and also activities in the City of Providence. Since residing in Narragansett for the past thirty years, Millie served on many town committees including the Town Council. Much of her time has been committed to local public service, church events and spending quality time with her family. She has been the recipient of numerous commendations for her community service. Besides her husband she is survived by her children; David J. Crook, Jr. of Jaffrey, NH, Cynthia L. Moore of Narragansett, Michelle A. Ellis of South Kingstown, Susan D. Mischler and Maribeth F. Crook both of Narragansett. Mrs. Crook was the grandmother of seventeen and the great-grandmother of ten. She was the sister of Delores DiChiara of Coventry, Salvatore Vitulli of Providence, and Marie Mixner of Warwick, John Vitulli, Evelyn Marocco both of Cranston and Barbara Butler of Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:00 in St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Road, Narragansett and may call at the Nardolillo Funeral Home, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, (Rt.1A) 1111 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett on Monday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be private.
