95, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Bruno Mancini. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Laura (Carnavale) Marro. Almirinda was a packer for the former Imperial Knife Company of Providence for many years before her retirement.
She is survived by her loving children, Richard P. Mancini of Cranston, Bruno Mancini, Jr., and his wife Sandra of Harrisville, and Lauretta J. Joslyn and her husband Fred of Cranston.
She was the sister of Josephine Carrier of Johnston, and the late Peter, Vincenzo, Albert and Alfred Marro, Rose Uscio, Mafalda LaFazia, Carmella Volpi, Philomenia Russo, and Ethelia "Ethel" Clark. Almirinda was the cherished grandmother of six and the great-grandmother of twelve.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
