ALMARINDA "ALMA" (TAGLIONE) SACCOCCIO

91, formerly of Delray Beach, FL and Cranston, died Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Golden Crest Nursing Center, North Providence. She was the wife of the late Alexander Saccoccio. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Gaetano and Giovannina (Protano) Taglione. Mrs. Saccoccio was a cashier at the former Star Market on Pontiac Avenue in Cranston for ten years and was also a waitress at the Greenville Inn for fifteen years. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Cranston, St. Mary's Anglican Church, Delray Beach, FL and a member of St. Mary's Feast Society Women's Auxiliary. She is survived by her children, Louis V. Saccoccio of Pawley's Island, SC, Alexander R. Saccoccio of Scituate, Caryl A. Saccoccio of Cranston, Carl A. Saccoccio of Foster and Jean A. Saccoccio of North Providence. Alma was the grandmother of nine and the great-grandmother of eight. She was the sister of the late Joseph, John, Sam, Louis, and Edward Taglione, Angie Calise, Mary Rainville, Nora Costello, Pat and Anita Taglione, Vera Corso and Alice O'Neil. Alma was the companion of Bernard Koretsky for twenty years in Florida. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St .Mary's Church, Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
