Alice F (Ochsner) McCoy

Alice F. (Ochsner) McCoy, 72, of Warwick, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at HopeHealth HulitarHospice Center in Providence.  Born in Bath, NY she was the daughter of the late Louis E. Ochsner and Anne O. (Hamberger) Ochsner.

Alice was a registered nurse for the State of RI for more than 30 years before her retirement in 2017. She is survived by her loving sons, Harry M. McCoy of Warwick;Scott K. McCoy and his wife Suzanne of Hope; and her dear sisters, Beth M. Ochsner-Childs of Uxbridge, MA and Mary E. Evans of Warwick.  She was also the sister of the late Louanne Robert.  She was the cherished grandmother of Kayla, Jaden and Gavin McCoy; and beloved aunt to Ronald J. and Alexander N. Gincastro, Shamus E. and Evan L. Flaherty, and Connor E. Evans. She was pre-deceased by her nephew, Ian M. Evans.

Alice lived life with a smile and a generous heart, was passionate in her love for animals and saw the good in people even when they couldn’t see it in themselves.  She marched to her own drum and unabashedly adored her family, and she will be missed terribly by all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her committal service to be held on Friday morning at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in West Greenwich.  Please arrive by 9:15 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made tothe American Cancer Society or the RI Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
