ALFRED VIERRA

Alfred Vierra, of Landon Road, Warwick, died Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Maria (Altieri) Vierra. They were married for forty-eight years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio and Justa (Gibau) Vierra. Mr. Vierra was a motor vehicle operator for the US Postal Service for many years until his retirement. He was a US Navy Veteran serving during WW II. Besides his wife he is survived by his son Glenn A. Vierra of Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 9:45 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday 4-8 p.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
