72, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Alfred J. and Mary J. (Calise) Valletta.
Alfred, also known as Freddie and Skinner, graduated from Johnston High School. He began his carpentry career at a very young age alongside his father. As years went on he furthered his passion for craftsmanship with his cousin Carl and ended his career with his youngest brother Michael.

Alfred’s love for sports was like no other. He played softball and hockey well into his adult years. Alfred also enjoyed fishing and hiking. Visiting the shoreline for a morning of quahogging or a nightly walk was one of his favorite things to do. He was also very proud of his Italian heritage.
He leaves his two beloved children, Sarah Pereira (Richard) of Cranston and Michael Valletta (Julia) of West Kingston; three siblings, Jean Travelyn (Edmund) of Bedford NH, David P. Valletta, Esq.
