ALFRED FUSCO, 92, of Plainfield St., Johnston, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary D. (Schiavitti) Fusco.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Raffaele and Margherita (Paglialunga) Fusco.
Mr. Fusco was a furniture finisher for 40 years, before retiring in 1963.
He was a WW-II Army Veteran serving with Company C 93 Chemical Mortar Battalion, and was a member of V.F.W. Post in Providence.
He was the devoted father of Elaine T. Carlson and her husband Donald of Coventry and Alfred J. Fusco of Cranston; loving grandfather of Alicia Carlson, Jonathan Fusco and Scott Fusco; and dear brother of Elvira Vallante of Cranston, Eugenia DellaValle of Wisconsin, Rev. Fredrick Fusco and Louis Fusco, both of New York, Frank Fusco of West Warwick, Joseph Fusco of Coventry; and the late Pasqualina, Armando and Michael Fusco.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Ave., Providence at 10:00 a.m.
Burial with Military Honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
