Alfred A. DeAngelis
88, of Johnston, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Marie (Sinapi) DeAngelis. They were happily married for the past 64 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Armando and Giselda(Santurri) DeAngelis.
Alfred was the owner and operator of A. DeAngelis Construction Company for 65 years. He was also a US Army veteran.
Besides , his beloved wife Marie , he is survived by his loving children: Denise Gesualdi and her husband Peter of Johnston and Karen Kelly and her late husband John of NH. He was also the cherished grandfather of : Melissa Tourgee and husband Ryan and Erin, Tara and Michael Kelly. He was the loving great grandfather of: Owen and Charlie Tourgee. After retirement, Alfred truly enjoyed his time with family. Anyone that knew him, loved and respected him. He was the very definition of a great man; a man his family was so proud of. He loved to bike ride, tend to his wood stove, spend time at his house in New Hampshire and enjoy life. He was a great man that was appreciated by all; always lending a helping hand. He was a valued member and trustee of Holy Cross Church for many years. Playing cards with his wife and friends was a favorite past time. He was a sports fan of the local teams: Patriots and Red Sox.
His visiting hours will be held on Friday from 9-10 am in the Nardolillo Funeral Home 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Holy Cross Church, Providence. Burial will take place in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Please omit flowers. Donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
