Alfred "Fred" D'Aguanno

90, of Cranston, passed away on New Years Day. He was the husband of Josephine T. (Luchetti) D'Aguanno. They were married for 69 years. Born in Providence to Lorenzo and Carmella ( Vicca) D'Aguanno. He was an Army Veteran. A graduate of RISD Jewelry School of Design. A jeweler by trade, he was co-owner of D'Abros Jewelry in Johnston for many years, Specializing in precious metals and gems. He was a member of the Cranston City Hall Athletics Club for over 50 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Donna Spinelli of Cranston and her husband Peter. His son Alfred W D'Aguanno Jr, also of Cranston.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Jennifer Turchetta of Johnston, and Peter W. Spinelli of Cranston. Two great grandchildren, Alexander and James Spinelli. Fred was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching the Patriots and the Red Sox, and was an avid card player. He greatly enjoyed Spending time with his family and grand children, always enjoying a good Sunday dinner at home.

He was a brother of the late Peter and Nicola D'Aguanno, sisters Elisa D'Aguanno and Mary Esposito.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 am in Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston. Burial with military honors will take place in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to:  The Federal Hill House, 9 Courtland Street, Providence 02909.
