72, of Cranston, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Iannotti) Corsi.
Born in Steubenville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Florence (Minella) Corsi.
Phil was a bus driver for RIPTA for many years. He was also the owner and operator of Corsi Painting Co. for the past 35 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Kelly Gazzero VFW Post 2812 of Cranston.
Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Christopher Corsi, Lindsay Cramer, Angela Corsi and Jaclyn Raspallo and loving grandfather of five. He was the dear brother of Victor, Patrick and James Corsi, Mary Cowser, Edith Rice, Antoinette Gibbons, Marjorie Zamana and the late Joseph Corsi.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 10 a.m. Interment with military honors will be at RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.
Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
