72, of East Providence, passed away from COVID-19 on Monday, May 11, 2020. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Alfonso and Antonietta (Bianco) Urbano. Brother of Angelina Pasquazzi of Cranston, and of the late Arthur Urbano, Sr., Edward Urbano, Rena Mollicone, and Eleanor Gordon. Beloved father of the late Alfonzo Paul Urbano II. Uncle of Pamela (Mollicone) Grist and David Pasquazzi, both of Cranston, Arthur Urbano, Jr., of Scituate, and Deborah (Urbano) Domenico of Brooksville, Florida, and of the late Frankie Pasquazzi and Edward Urbano.
Alfonzo was an artist and resident of Orchard View Manor in East Providence, where he enjoyed art, painting, and watching classic movies. He attended Hartford College in Connecticut to study art. He loved his son “Fonzi” with all his heart. We remember him for his laughter and his big heart.
He died peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
