89, of Rose Hill Drive, Cranston passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Berkshire Place, Providence. He was the husband of the late Evelyn (Branch) Cicerone. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Luigi and Rachael (Oriscello) Cicerone. Mr. Cicerone was the supervisor for Superior Bakery of Cranston for 30 years. He also ran Cindy's Restaurant of Scituate and the Country Squire Club of Johnston. "Uncle Al" was also a professional poker player. An Army veteran of WW-II, Mr. Cicerone saw action in Guadalcanal, the Northern Solomons, New Guinea and Luzon. He is survived by five daughters from his former wife, Shirley (Richard) Cicerone: Donna Parenteau of Smithfield, Dianne Corrente of Lincoln, Debra Mack of Smithfield, Linda Anderson of North Providence and Patricia Cicerone of North Providence, one son: Mark Cicerone of Cranston, one sister: Gilda Jeffrey and one brother: Oreste Cicerone, 12 Grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Elizabeth, Lena, Mark T., Louis and Nicandro Cicerone. Mr. Cicerone was recently quoted saying "Look how well I've done, all the wonderful people I have created." His funeral, with military honors, will be held on Wednesday at 9:00am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Avenue Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston Street, Cranston at 10:00am. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 4-8pm.
