93, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Piera (Galea) Tedeschi for 67 years. He was the son of the late Daniele and Vincenza (Gentiluomo) Tedeschi. Mr. Tedeschi was a carpenter with Local 94, for over 50 years.
Born in Calabria, Italy, where he served in the marines- Battaglione San Marco, Villa Vicentina, Italy. Earlier in life, he became an apprentice for his father, mastering the craftmanship of carpentry creating art with his hands. In 1950 Alberto met Piera, the love of his life, in Marina di Gioiosa Ionica where they were married and later moved to America raising four loving daughters. Husband, Father, “Papu” and loyal friend. A beautiful man with a generous heart and a warm smile who relished in the company of family and friends.
Alberto’s zest for life was evident in everything he did from his never-ending love for his family, to making homemade wine, to being the life of the party no matter the occasion, to enjoying being outdoors, gardening, and basking in the sun appreciating the fruits of his labor.
Besides his wife Piera, Alberto is survived by his loving daughters, Anna Hanley and her husband Robert, Teresa Tedeschi, Paula Tedeschi-Moran, and Daniela Tedeschi all of Cranston. Cherished grandfather of Sophia and Emma Hanley, Olivia and Ava Tedeschi-Moran, Major and Kalani Tedeschi-Moore. Brother of the late Agostino, Domenico and Pompeo Tedeschi all of Italy. Alberto is also survived by his adoring nieces and nephews that reside in both America and Italy.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, October 12, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Providence. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
