ALBERTO ACCIARDO

78, of Sterling Ave., Providence, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 49 years of Giuseppina (Laurenza) Acciardo. Born in Caianello Caserta, Italy, he was the son of the late Antonio and Elvira (Cappello) Acciardo.

Mr. Acciardo was a landscaper for many years before retiring.

Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Antonietta Iorio and her husband Enzo of Cranston and Elvira Martin and her husband David of Johnston; loving grandfather of Angelica, Michelle, David and Massimo; and dear brother of Domenica Ceprano of Providence, Evelyn De Fusco of Johnston, Franco Acciardo of Italy and the late Michele Acciardo.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew's Church, 305 Laurel Hill Ave., Providence at 10:00 a.m.

Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
