ALBERT A. SANTORO, SR

87, of North Providence, passed away at home on Friday June 10, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Dolores (Rinaldi) Santoro. Albert was born in Providence, a son of the late Salvatore and Bettina (Buonaiuto) Santoro. Mr. Santoro worked in retail for many years; he was employed at City Hall Hardware, he was the owner and operator of the former Midland Gift House and was also the supervisor of gifts and appliances at Ann & Hope, Cumberland. Albert was a WW II Navy veteran, a member of the Colonial Band and a member of the St. Anthony's Choir. Besides his wife Dolores he is survived by his loving children, Karen Ramsay and her husband Glen, the late Patricia Pezzullo and her husband Angelo, Albert A. Santoro II and Denise, Arthur Santoro and his wife Gina. He was also the cherished grandfather of 7, great grandfather of 1 and was the brother of Richard Santoro, Betty Fusco, Florence Rosa, and Theresa Foote and the late Angelo and Joseph Santoro. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:45 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Anthony's Church, Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial with Military Honors will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
