ALBERT O. MELIKIAN, SR

Albert O. Melikian, Sr. 96, of Belvedere Drive, Cranston, died Thursday, September 25, 2008. He was the husband of the late Victoria M. (Garabedian) Melikian. Born in Cambridge, MA he was the son of the late Oscar and Nouritza (Chookian) Melikian. Mr. Melikian was a turbine operator for the former Narragansett Electric Company for thirty-two years before retiring in 1974. Mr. Melikian served with the RI National Guard from 1933 to 1935. He was a member of the Glen Woods Crime Prevention and Improvement Association. He is survived by one son Albert O. Melikian, Jr. of Cranston and was the father of the late Marilyn Melikian. His funeral service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Albert O. Melikian, Sr. may be made to the RHODE ISLAND STATE POLICE MUSEUM FOUNDATION.
