ALBERT E. MEDICI, SR

81, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at R.I. Hospital in Providence. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Emilio and Palma (Martino) Medici. He was the beloved husband for fifty two years of Norma V. (Campopiano) Medici. Albert served in the Korean War receiving the Bronze Star for meritorious service. Mr. Medici was a banker for twenty years at Industrial National Bank, becoming regional manager, followed by two years as VP at Columbus National Bank and six as President of Marquette Credit Union. He attended Bryant College and Williams School of Banking. Albert was also a past President of the Renaissance Lodge, Order of the Sons of Italy. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Linda Feole and her husband Anthony of Coventry, Lisa Buckley and her husband Jack of West Greenwich, Albert E. Medici, Jr. and his wife Randi of Scituate. Mr. Medici was the cherished grandfather of JZ and Christiana Buckley, Mason Feole, Joelle and Emmy Medici. Albert was also the brother of Raymond Medici of Coventry, Anna DiStefano of Providence and the late Dorothy Ricciardelli. His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rocco's Church, Johnston at 10:00 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday 4:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. BOX 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
