AGNES V. (SHROEDER) SHURTLEFF

89, of Providence, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Oak Hill Nursing Home in Pawtucket. She was the wife of the late Warren J. Shurtleff. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Clara (Hughes) Schroeder. Agnes was employed for the State of RI for 25 years before her retirement.

Mrs. Shurtleff is survived by her daughter Anne Mega and her husband Edward of Massachusetts. She was the grandmother of Leah Sperlongano and Joseph Bevilacqua and great grandmother of Kason Sperlongano. Agnes was the sister of John and Paul Shroeder and the late Clara Lajoie, Mary Moss, Edward Schroeder and Julie Belhumeur.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church, Providence. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
