Adeline A. (Pennacchia) Mastrobuono

SWEET ADELINE
Adeline Mastrobuono was a graduate of Cranston East High School.  She was a devoted housewife who humbly devoted her entire life to her family.
In her later years she co-managed Penn TV and Furniture beside her late husband Joseph Mastrobuono Sr.; her sons, the late Joseph Mastrobuono Jr., Nicholas Mastrobuono, Jeffrey Mastrobuono; her daughter, the late Nancy Mastrobuono; and her father, the late Joseph “Penn” Pennacchia. Adeline became quite the interior decorator, helping countless customers design their spaces.
Adeline later worked besides her sons Jeffrey and Nick at their store Accessorize Your Space in Warwick and would body block Nick and Jeff to reach the customers first.
When the doctors told Adeline that her mother, the late Nancy Cerito Pennacchia, only had six months to live, Adeline would not accept that. With God's grace Adeline worked around the clock tirelessly, never with a complaint, and her mother thrived for six years defying all medical odds under Adeline's constant hands-on attention and always with God's grace and mercy.
When John Wayne in the late 1970's had open-heart surgery and at Mass General, the best hospital, performed by the best heart surgeon, Dr. Mortimer Buckley, Adeline knew what she had to do when the same week she was told her father had to have major open-heart surgery.
She walked into Mass General with no referral and told admissions,  in her unique way, that her father needs to have open-heart surgery, and she wants John Wayne's suite and for Dr. Mortimer Buckley to operate on him. The girl told Adeline,  "you just don't walk into Mass General and demand such things without even a referral at least. " Adeline said to the girl, “I just did”.
Her father got John Wayne's suite, and Dr. Mortimer Buckley did open-heart surgery   on her father in a couple of days. Adeline always got what she wanted when it came to the ones she loved never leaving anything on the field , never ever asking a single thing for herself.
Adeline, who was a member of the Alpine Country Club for decades, chose to never take part in the club's elite ladies' social affairs except for ballroom dancing with her husband and events for her children there. She was quite content just being a mom, a daughter, and a wife. That was her total joy, her total world!

Adeline's sons remember a time then they were younger. Adeline was going to dinner with two aunts who did not have money. It was cold and snowing, and Adeline just had a cape on. They asked her why she wasn't wearing her gorgeous custom mink her father bought her. She said because aunties did not have money, and she didn't want them to feel less than. That describes Adeline's selfless humble ways, always caring for others way before herself.
Adeline, an only child, provided tireless at home, round the clock personal care for her mother, her father, and her husband, as if she were an army; always at home as she had them moved into the family home where she gave them round the clock care (when not hospitalized) throughout their illnesses. This set the standard of care she taught her children when they were very young , who had the honor, opportunity, and privilege of giving back to her the same level of care, love, and compassion.
Adeline had the most wonderful master class in home care from Phoenix and Coventry Home Health Care at home for five years which we can not recommend enough .
She was a patient of the wonderful Continuum In Home Hospice Care for over two years where Adeline thrived with dignity through her illness with their mark of excellence unique highest quality care and their five star top-notch love, compassion, and mark of excellence swift efficiency. They helped Adeline to conquer countless medical obstacles with compassion and total excellence beyond what words can describe  . They supported Adeline and her family, allowing Adeline to thrive through her illness with dignity. We can not recommend enough Continuum in home  Hospice of RI !
Adeline was also enrolled in Senior Link Caregiver Home RI, which supported her care and paid the family to give Adeline's care at home. They visited frequently and supported Adeline's health as well as the wellbeing of the family in their spectacular red-carpet caregiving. We can not recommend enough this wonderful company that pays the care giver to give at home care while providing all support needed !
We would be remiss if we did not thank the incredible team at Walmart Pharmacy in Coventry for constantly going above and beyond for Adeline over and over again!
We as a family cannot endorse these companies enough for the VERY VERY best in in-home care by far in the state.
Adeline was also a patient of Dr. Anthony Caparasso of South County Health, and he and his incredible team saved her life more times than can be counted. They swept Adeline's family off our their feet with their mark of excellence care, always going above and beyond.
Our family was also honored to develop a relationship with the one and only Linnea Tuttle of RI DHS. She was instrumental throughout the years in supervising and enabling Adeline to live, to thrive, and to be happy and comfortable with dignity . Linnea went out of her way to body block all obstacles swiftly to aid Adeline and her family in providing quality care as she does daily for thousands of our fellow Rhode Island families through her tireless work at RI DHS .
Nicky, Joseph, and Jeffrey had their share of sibling rivalries but when it came to Adeline's care and medical decisions all three sons were always mightily united for Adeline throughout the years.
Adeline was a member of  Legacy Church RI in Warwick where she loved deeply her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. She also loved deeply her pastor and his wife very much, Ron and Lori Termale. They checked in on Adeline daily and prayed through her illnesses nonstop throughout the many years with all the God given love they have AND THEIR UNDENIABLE HEALING PRAYER WARRIOR abilities. They are the prototype for pastors and Legacy Church RI in Warwick never failed in any ways to constantly be there for Adeline and our family as they do divinely and supernaturally for all their members and nonmembers.
Adeline felt that Legacy Church Warwick RI was the best church ever to develop an intimate relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit who is alive and powerful in her church !
Jeffrey and Nicky can't thank enough their dear friends from the church and their family and friends for their undying love and support and constant prayers that always worked for Adeline and her family.
Adeline's pride and joy were her grandchildren; the late Gerald Capozzi, Lisa Smith and Lauren Ortgiesen and her husband Ray Ortgiesen and her great-grandchildren Matthew Smith and David Smith.
Throughout Adeline's many difficult medical challenges throughout the years she faced them like the hero and champion she was, defying all the worldly odds with infinite countless divine supernatural comebacks always giving Glory to God; always her Jesus's grace.
Adeline also was mother-in-law to the late Elaine Mastrobuono who she loved as a daughter . Adeline loved and lost many dear sister in-laws and brother in laws  , Libby DePetrillo and her husband Dr Raymond DePetrillo , Delores Mancini and Ralph Mancini and her sister in-law Lenore Ronci has been loved by Adeline since they were young and has always kept checking on her Adeline faithfully to the very end as our Auntie Nora " Chez Lenore " first made the connection between our mom and dad .

Adeline  had the faithful unending love of and love for all her nephews and nieces and cousins , friends and families .

Adeline died peacefully at home with her family at almost 95 years old.

All of her services will be respectfully private.
