Vito A. Marcaccio, Jr.

88, of Johnston, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Rose (Zanni) Marcaccio.

Vito leaves his sons, Steven A. Marcaccio, Sr. and his wife Trisha of Smithfield and Vito A. Marcaccio, III and his wife Susan of Johnston; and his daughter Cynthia A. Sousa and her husband Rick of Johnston.

He was the “Best Papa” of Joanna, Donna and Steven Marcaccio and his wife Jessica, and Alexandria Sousa; cherished great-grandfather of Gia and Brock Marcaccio. Vito is also survived by his brothers, Rocco, Mario and Arthur Marcaccio, and the late Vincent, Bernard, Clara Marcaccio Marienetti, Sue Marcaccio Cimini, Anna Marcaccio DiCecco and Margaret Marcaccio Radloff.

Vito was a member of the Teamsters #251 throughout his working career. Besides his family, Vito used to love going to Dunkin’ on 44 with “the guys”! Vito used to love going out to eat, whether it was his weekly jaunts to Portside with his brothers or with the kids to Wright’s Farm, Chelo’s on the Water, or Cracker Barrell.. he was always ready to go! Vito would also love to take monthly rides to Foxwoods or Mohegan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 11th at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston, followed by burial at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
