of North Providence, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Fatima Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Dianne R. (Bolodian) Palmisano. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Carmella (Palmisano) Calenda.
Richard worked in the jewelry industry for many years. He had a heart of gold and enjoyed spending time at North Providence Senior Center, playing pool, chess, cards and listening to “The Oldies”. He will be greatly missed.
Besides his wife, he was the loving father of Richard “Richie” Palmisano of North Providence; dear brother of Maria Ciliberto and her husband David of Johnston, Paul Calenda of Cranston, Louis Calenda and his wife Debra of Johnston and Anthony Calenda of Cranston; and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday, February 14th at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are TUESDAY MORNING from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
