Mary L. (Ancona) Bucci

89, of Warwick, RI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

She was the beloved wife of 67 years to Anthony W. Bucci (Sr.) of Warwick, RI, and was the daughter of the late Antonio and Carmelina (DelMastro) Ancona.

Mary will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her for her deep kindness and caring nature. She was an avid artist who was honored to receive a scholarship to RISD. Her watercolor paintings of landscapes and images of her family were displayed at many venues, including the Wickford Art Association and the Wickford Art Festival. For over 25 years, she assisted in her family's insurance business. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to Europe and other destinations, but her greatest pleasure was cooking for her family and friends, especially during the holidays.

She was the cherished mother of Anthony W. Bucci, Jr. (Cindy), Andrea Valentini, and John Bucci (Semra). She was the proud grandmother of Kristine and Tara Bucci and Roberto and Gianni Valentini. She was the sister of Richard Ancona, Carolyn Crook, Eleanor Montella, and the late Anthony Ancona and Pauline Santurri. All will miss her loving heart.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, Warwick. Burial will take place in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
