Loretta J. (Pompili) Rice, RN

LORETTA J. RICE, RN, 69, of Warwick Ave., Warwick, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 in the Jane Brown Unit at RI Hospital.  She was the beloved wife for 22 years of Arthur A. Rice, Jr.  Born in Providence, she was the cherished daughter of the late Dante and Margaret (Furia) Pompili.

Loretta received her nursing degree from the former RI Junior College and worked at RI Hospital, and later for the Providence school department as a transportation nurse before retiring.

Besides her husband Arthur, she was the dear sister of Angela L. Sousa and her husband Luis of Cranston and the late Linda E. Marsella.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 20th at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston at 11 a.m.  Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Wednesday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
