Joseph M. Costagliola

87, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Rhode Island Veterans Home, Bristol. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Luigi and Rosina (Lubrano) Costagliola. Joseph was employed for twenty years by the former Rayco of Pawtucket until its closing in 1978. He was also employed by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, North Providence from 1978 until his retirement in 1994. He was a US Navy veteran serving during the Korean War era. He was a member of American Legion Post # 14, Cumberland. Joseph was active in the Right to Life Movement.

Joseph is survived by his loving sisters, Grace Perry of Smithfield, Luisa White of North Providence, Sister Beatrice Costagliola, FMM of North Providence. He was the brother of the late Capt. Francesco Costagliola and Michael Costagliola. Joseph is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Assumption Church, 791 Potters Avenue, Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, 399 Fruit Hill Avenue, North Providence, RI 02911.
