John L. Ricci

JOHN L. RICCI, 93, of Johnston, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023.  He was the husband of the late Catherine A. (Lawton) Brindle-Ricci and the late Norma A. (Ferrari) Ricci.  Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Tortolani) Ricci.

He was owner of the former Merric Plywood-Agway in Johnston and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. John was an active member at St. Rocco Church serving as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Lector, Altar Server, and Trustee for many years, and was also co-chair of St. Rocco Annual Feast, member of the Holy Name Society and was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th degree.

He was the loving father of Paul J. Ricci and his wife Roberta of Woburn, MA, Janet Petrarca and her husband Gary of Johnston, and John A. Ricci and his wife Becky of New Haven, VT; cherished grandfather of six and dear brother of the late Anthony Ricci.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, February 9th at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco Church, Johnston at 11 a.m.  Burial with military honors will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Thursday Morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
